Worship Christ
The Heart of Worship
The greatest human problem is not an information problem but a worship problem. Therefore, the greatest expression that we are redeemed people is not how much we know but the joy and delight we find in worshiping King Jesus.
We were created for worship and our hearts will be restless until we find our rest in the Redeemer
Worship is not an event, a song or a sermon. Worship is a posture of the heart that has found its greatest delight in Christ alone. Then and only then will we be able to find joy and delight in the lesser things.
Worship is not merely about information to be believed but a person to be loved
As we find Jesus the object of our greatest affections, we will also find His Word a thing to be prized and studied, because it contains all we need to know about the King and His Kingdom.
Corporate worship fuels private devotion and intentionally redemptive relationships
Reveling in Christ and His Word alongside other brothers and sisters provides the content and motivation to keep worshiping throughout the week - individually and with one another.
Sunday Corporate Worship
Christ is to be worshiped above all. He is our greatest joy and delight. We believe that starts on a Sunday morning as we gather to Worship Christ through Exposition of the Scriptures, Congregational Singing, Corporate Prayer, and Biblical One-Anothering.
We pray that our Corporate Gatherings have both a sense of reverence and awe directed at the person of Christ we worship, and a joy and lightness as broken people come to love and live together.
We seek to keep things simple, focused, purposeful, and about being together as a family.
Sunday mornings at 10 AM, Golden Valley High School.
Redeemer Kids
We have a fully staffed kids program for the training of our kids in the Gospel. We are committed to coming alongside parents as they undertake the weighty and priceless calling of raising their kids to the glory of God.
We love our kids and believe they are essential to the whole of the church. For this reason, we include all our school aged kids in the Worship Service up until the preaching time. Then they are led to their classes for age-appropriate teaching through the whole story of God.
We are committed to getting this Bible into the hands of each of our kids, to get your copy, just talk to one of our Redeemer Kids leaders.
Kingdom Prayer
Prayer is central to a church dependent on God, committed to mission, and in need of the power of God. Each month a Kingdom Prayer Guide is released for use in our corporate worship and private prayer. We encourage our members to spend time each week praying with at least one other person for these requests.
The New City Catechism
We are committed to growing in our understanding of God’s Story. That happens both through regular Sunday morning exposition and regular doctrinal teaching. We have selected The New City Catechism to guide our doctrinal progress as adults and in the training of our kids. We use this as part of our corporate worship and encourage its repetition personally and in the home.
